About Chad
Chad E. Coben specializes in advising companies and their capital partners on financial and operational restructurings, crisis management, business transformations, M&A transactions and integrations. Mr. Coben has more than 25 years of experience serving in executive management and advisory roles with experience across a variety of sectors including oil field services, exploration and production, food and agriculture, food service, telecom, media, technology and entertainment.
As a seasoned restructuring advisor, Mr. Coben has provided financial advisory services to sponsors and credit providers on buy/hold decisions, covenant defaults and in- and out-of-court restructurings to preserve value and maximize financial outcomes for clients. In addition, Mr. Coben is an effective leader and has provided on-site crisis and turnaround management services for boards of directors, executive teams and their capital partners including the assessment of restructuring alternatives, guidance through of out-of-court restructurings and Chapter 11 filings and leadership of operational turnarounds.
Acting as both an advisor and as an interim executive, Mr. Coben works closely with financial sponsors, lenders and management teams to lead business transformations and operational improvement initiatives across the value chain, driving revenue growth, reducing operating and supply chain costs, transforming finance organizations and optimizing people, processes and systems. He has supported merger and acquisition transactions and financings and routinely leads commercial, operational and financial due diligence and acquisition integration initiatives.
Mr. Coben has served in executive roles on behalf of both public and private equity-backed companies and has led restructurings as the chief restructuring officer or lead financial advisor. Mr. Coben joined FTI Consulting a the end of 2008 with the acquisition of CXO, LLC, a boutique turnaround and advisory service firm. Prior to joining CXO, Mr. Coben spent over six years as part of a core management team involved in the consolidation, financing and operations of the cable television, radio, out-of-home advertising and telecommunications businesses through Marcus Cable, AMFM and Novo Networks. Mr. Coben began his career at Bank of America, where he spent six years in the Media and Communications Finance Group.
