FTI Consulting Advises United Risk on Its Acquisition of Pinnacle Underwriting
London, 19 June 2025 — FTI Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: FCN) acted as M&A advisor and provided due diligence services to United Risk, a leading international property and casualty insurance underwriting and distribution platform, on its acquisition of Pinnacle Underwriting.
Pinnacle Underwriting is a specialty facultative reinsurance Managing General Agent (“MGA”) headquartered in Sydney with offices in Melbourne, Singapore and Dubai. It manages a large portfolio of reinsurance business, with 70% originating in the Asia-Pacific region and the remainder primarily in the Middle East and North Africa. The acquisition significantly strengthens United Risk’s global presence and positions it as one of the top five largest MGAs in the world.
The deal builds on FTI Consulting’s deep expertise in the insurance M&A market and continues a strong track record of successful transactions. Recent examples include advising Guardian Group on the sale of Thoma Group to PIB Group, TPG on its investment into Yellow Hive, IceLake Capital on its acquisition of Certe Group, Ara Partners on its investment into Paratus Holdings and Yellow Hive on its acquisition of FVB.
