A professional medical society engaged FTI Consulting’s digital health experts to develop a strategic AI business plan in support of its ambition of becoming the trusted leader in radiology for the safe and effective implementation of AI imaging, capable of offering tangible real-world solutions to address the challenges that radiologists face today.

Our Impact

FTI Consulting created a two-year business plan that successfully secured Board funding of $4.5 million for existing product enhancement, new product development and dedicated innovation efforts in 2025.
The roadmap developed by our experts allowed the client to identify short- and long-term strategic priorities for its AI strategy, including a high-level forecast of expected revenue impacts from new and existing AI products and service offerings.
Supported by FTI Consulting’s marketing efforts, the client successfully released a new product at an industry conference, and our experts delivered success metrics to monitor the impact of the product’s launch.

Our Role

FTI Consulting conducted user research with members of the medical society, health system executives and medical school administrators to better understand the range of needs across various stakeholder groups for the purpose of tailoring future offerings.
Our experts hosted a strategic planning workshop with key leaders across business segments to collaboratively define the AI imaging market opportunity, identify focus areas for future investment and construct a vision for the future.
We assessed the client’s current AI product portfolio, identified product enhancement opportunities to acquire new users and explored different pricing strategies to expand awareness and use of existing products.
