Scott Foster

Scott Foster brings more than 25 years of experience serving as a lead technological consultant and case manager for large-scale, cross-border litigation and investigations. Mr. Foster specializes in data breach, litigation discovery, e-discovery and analysis, document review workflow consultation and database management. He supports clients across matters including antitrust investigations, mergers and acquisitions, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (“FCPA”) investigations, state secret reviews, class action litigation, multijurisdictional litigation, sanctions investigations, product liability and intellectual property disputes.

Advising law firms and corporate clients on the design and implementation of document review strategies, Mr. Foster provides expertise with the use of predictive coding and advanced analytics in discovery. He supports clients with establishing and refining search terms, planning managed review workflows and leveraging e‐discovery review platforms during complex litigation.

Having supported clients in the United States, Canada, Australia and other jurisdictions, Mr. Foster has deep experience working with government entities, including the Canadian Department of Justice and U.S. Treasury. He is based in Washington, D.C., after having spent more than 15 years supporting FTI Technology’s clients from the Sydney office.

Prior to joining FTI Technology, Mr. Foster was an attorney at a law firm in the United States.

Relevant Experience:

• Managed the e-discovery lifecycle and document review for a large Australian construction project; facilitated workflow consultation and technology solutions for the defensible handling of several terabytes of data
• Led a global U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission investigation for a global online retailer; supported data handling and hosting in Asia and the Americas
• Managed an FCPA sanctions investigation for a global electronics company; oversaw discovery and data hosting across Asia, Europe and the Americas
