About Stuart
Stuart Gleichenhaus has more than 35 years of experience holding operational and financial officer roles and structuring and restructuring numerous leveraged transactions. He has industry expertise in chemicals, healthcare, energy, power and products, telecom and financial services.
Mr. Gleichenhaus has been integrally involved in several carve-out transactions of subsidiaries of major corporations by private equity firms, typically serving in interim finance leadership roles. In each carve-out, he has led the establishment of stand-alone, de novo finance organizations on up to four continents.
Mr. Gleichenhaus has led the establishment of stand-alone finance organizations on up to four continents. He focuses on managing liquidity, increasing working capital efficiency, executing numerous financing and refinancing transactions (including amendments, hedging programs and first-time financings in the United States and China) and helping with each new stand-alone company’s establishment. Some have required substantial operating changes to transform operations from distressed to profitable.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Gleichenhaus served as interim Chairman, Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) and Chief Restructuring Officer (“CRO”) of EaglePicher. Before that, Mr. Gleichenhaus led the Southwest restructuring advisory services and the oil and gas industry transactions advisory services in North America for Ernst & Young Corporate Finance.
Mr. Gleichenhaus is an active member of the Dallas community, serving on several boards, including the Boards of the Geometric Art Museum, Texas Map Society, Friends of Texas Historical Commission, University of Texas MBA Investment Fund and Center for Nonprofit Management.

- Led carve-outs ranging from $60 million to $6 billion for clients including AT&T; Berry Global; Billabong; Carestream Health; Dow Chemical; DuPont; Ericsson; Henry Schein; Hertz; International Outsourcing; Johnson & Johnson; Reebok; Fortune Brands; Shawcor, Tyco Electronics; Wells Fargo; and Texas Capital Bank
- Led spin-offs to new public companies for clients including AgroFresh; Herc; Ionic Digital; and MasterBrands
