About Sean
Sean Harding leads the Turnaround & Restructuring practice's U.S. Southeast region, and co-leads the firm's Food & Agribusiness industry practice. He has more than 25 years of experience advising senior management and boards of directors in revitalizing companies that are stagnant or underperforming.
Mr. Harding has served as an advisor to companies as well as advising secured creditors in out-of-court restructurings and in formal bankruptcy proceedings. His experience has been in a number of industries, including publishing, post-secondary education and food, agriculture and beverage.
Mr. Harding’s financial advisory services include advising companies through a sale process, renegotiation of financing arrangements and covenant compliance and development and review of detailed business turnaround plans. He is also experienced in the development and review of detailed 13-week cash flow projections, bankruptcy preparation services, product profitability analyses and cost reduction initiatives, including SG&A rationalization.
Mr. Harding is a member of FTI Consulting’s Interim Management practice and has served as an officer in numerous restructuring engagements.
Relevant Experience:
- Served as CEO and Chief Restructuring Officer (“CRO”) to Anthem Education, a for-profit college with 41 campuses
- Served as CRO to AstroTurf, McClatchy Company and the Tampa Bay Times
- Served as Financial Advisor to a private Catholic college in the Northeast, a private university in the Southeast and a seven-campus chain of career colleges
- Served as Financial Advisor to the senior lenders for a 21-campus for-profit college in the Northeast and a 57-campus for-profit chain of beauty schools
- Served as Financial Advisor to a more than $1 billion grain cooperative, a $300 million vegetable canning company, a leading seafood processor, a $1.1 billion revenue poultry processor, a $1.4 billion revenue turkey processing company
- Served as Senior Vice President of Restructuring to Allen Family Foods
- Served as Restructuring Advisor to FPL Foods, a $300 million revenue fully integrated beef processor, as well as the third-largest hog producer in the country
- Served as secured lender advisor to Pilgrim’s Pride and an $8.8 billion chicken processor
