Meredith Brown is an expert in advising legal departments on their digital journeys to optimize the customer experience and transform the legal function. As the global co-leader for FTI Technology’s Legal Operations Consulting & Contract Solutions practice, Ms. Brown primarily focuses on Fortune 100 multinational clients in oil and gas, manufacturing, financial services and life sciences. She has a proven track record of devising and implementing end-to-end digital transformation solutions incorporating strategy, technology and people and process improvement.

Ms. Brown serves as a trusted advisor to general counsel and legal operations professionals, working closely with clients to enhance service delivery to legal department partners, increase productivity and drive revenue generation opportunities. She accomplishes this through innovative approaches that include leveraging generative AI, machine learning, design thinking principles and agile methodologies. Ms. Brown also specializes in providing contract review and analysis for regulatory investigations, M&A transactions, corporate restructuring events and other strategic business activities.

Prior to FTI Technology, Ms. Brown was Senior Vice President of Advisory, Legal Operations & Compliance at UnitedLex. She has also held legal department consulting roles at Consilio and Huron Consulting Group, where she advised corporate legal departments on business process improvement, strategic planning and enablement through the strategic use of technology solutions.

Relevant Experience:

• Assessed the legal department and designed and implemented a new legal operations function for a high-growth life sciences startup organization
• Oversaw the collection and review of 10,000 sales agreements for a financial services company, identifying more than $15 million in revenue potential leakage
• Developed the operating model (resourcing, technology, process flows) for a to-be-formed consumer healthcare organization’s legal and compliance function
• Led the divestiture and post-merger integration of a public defense contractor, designing organization structure, operating procedures and technology strategy
• Assisted with the merger and post-merger integration of two Fortune 500 legal departments, resulting in 41% annual run-rate savings; designed and implemented first-of-its-kind enterprise legal transformation solution, managed the workforce optimization execution and converged data from more than 20 repositories to eight enabling technologies
