About David
David Dunn has more than 20 years of experience advising multinational corporations on risk and transactions in markets around the world and is an expert in data privacy and cybersecurity resilience, prevention, response, remediation and recovery.
Mr. Dunn leads global teams managing large-scale, complex cybersecurity engagements advising corporates, law firms and private equity M&A sponsors on critical cybersecurity risks while overseeing major cyber investigations. He has also served as an interim CISO, frequently advising private equity firms, C-suite executives, and board members on mitigating cyber threats and implementing best security practices.
He has spearheaded many high-profile engagements, including precedent-setting audits under the Digital Services Act and Digital Markets Act for major social media platforms. He played a pivotal role in strengthening the financial sector by driving compliance enhancements for a globally systemic bank under regulatory scrutiny. Additionally, he led the response to a sophisticated North Korean APT attack on a major cryptocurrency exchange.
Before joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Dunn was Head of Global Advisory Services and a member of the Executive Leadership Team at Eurasia Group, where he oversaw major clients and managed the firm’s core business lines. He advised multinational corporations on risk, including cybersecurity threats from nation-state actors, and led sophisticated consulting teams. Earlier in his career, he spent 12 years advising institutional investors and multinational corporations, beginning at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette and Credit Suisse First Boston in New York. Mr. Dunn holds a B.A. in European History from Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
