Christopher S. Allen

Christopher S. Allen has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry with background that combines consulting expertise with hands-on industry experience. Chris is a payments expert who helps his clients modernize their products, core operations, processes and underlying technology. He has a proven track record of leading critical and transformative payments work with expertise spanning retail and consumer, transaction banking, business and merchant acceptance, payment networks and intermediaries.

Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Allen was a Managing Director at Deloitte Consulting LLP, where he led the Banking and Payments practice. He oversaw full engagement delivery, developed high-performing teams and maintained trusted client relationships. During his tenure, he held leadership roles in several accounts including the Federal Reserve, Visa, Early Warning and Convera.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Allen held leadership positions at Capco and Hitachi Consulting, focusing on core modernization and digital integration. At MasterCard, he led U.S. Debit Product Management, and his previous roles at J.P. Morgan Chase and U.S. Bancorp included leading product development initiatives, small business banking and channel strategy.

Earning both degrees from the University of Connecticut, Mr. Allen holds an M.B.A. in Marketing and a B.A. in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a concentration in Economics.

Relevant Experience:

• Collaborated with a small leadership team to build a global payments practice
• Led critical and transformative payments work, including new real time payments system for the largest Central Bank; multi-bank e-commerce payments application; and servicing and operations transformation for a top eight bank commercial cards business
• Managed direct P&L responsibility for payments products revenue at two leading U.S. banks
