About Chris
Chris Tucker is a Senior Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications segment, and also serves as global lead of the segment’s Energy & Natural Resources practice.
Based in Washington, D.C., Mr. Tucker has advised some of the world’s largest energy, mining and industrials clients in his nearly two decades at FTI Consulting. Drawing on a team of more than 100 specialized experts based in nearly a dozen international markets, FTI Consulting is believed to have the largest dedicated energy and natural resources practice of any strategic communications consultancy in the world. The practice is comprised of separate, expert-led verticals, including those for upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas; fuels and petrochemicals; mining and minerals, utilities and renewables; hydrogen; carbon capture; and nuclear energy. These verticals report up through a centralized global management team to deliver class-leading strategic advisory solutions for clients worldwide.
Mr. Tucker has contributed commentary on issues related to resource development and global energy markets to various U.S.-based and international media outlets over the years, appearing on CNN, BBC and FOX News, as well as in newspapers and on radio stations around the world.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting, Mr. Tucker spent several years on Capitol Hill, starting his career as the communications director to a leading member of the U.S. House Committee on Natural Resources, and eventually serving as a communications advisor and speechwriter to the House Minority Whip.
A native of the anthracite-coal region of northeast Pennsylvania, Mr. Tucker earned his B.A. from Johns Hopkins University and his M.B.A. from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
