Antonio Gesteira

Antonio Gesteira is a seasoned e-discovery and forensic technology expert with more than 20 years’ experience supporting complex investigations and litigations. Mr. Gesteira has delivered more than 400 projects spanning complex investigations, cross-border e-discovery matters, data breaches, data protection and incident management.

Mr. Gesteira leads large investigations and risk management efforts in Brazil and internationally. As FTI Technology’s leader for the Latin America market, he is an expert in Brazil's data privacy law, the General Personal Data Protection Act (“LGPD”). He works with clients to address a broad range of digital risks and respond to high-stakes legal and regulatory matters.

Prior to joining FTI Technology, Mr. Gesteira was the partner in charge of the forensic practice at KPMG and a Technology Risk Consulting partner at PwC, where he served as a leader for computer forensic investigations, e-discovery vendor management, cyber response services and data services. In that role, he grew the practice through the creation of new capabilities, extending the team’s reach to clients in previously unaddressed industry segments.

Mr. Gesteira is an educator in legal, ethics, compliance, fraud, mergers and acquisitions and emerging technology risk in professorial roles at PUC-Campinas, Insper, FIA and Mackenzie. Additionally, he is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish.
